Here are some photos around the area we stayed!

The view from grandma's house.

At "George Rogers Clark National Historical Park".

Inside of the memorial which is huge and beautiful! Watching the video at the visiter center helped me to learn about the great history of what happened around here.

The other side of the river is Illinois (this side is Indiana). That bridge is known as the fact that president Lincoln crossed when he was young.

"I see... that's interesting." No, that's not what this little boy is thinking of course! I do hear some whining "when can we go to Bush Gardens or Universal Studios!?" and "We had enough nature and history stuff!"
Ha ha.

The town also has an interesting Military Museum. It's not big yet (in process of the renovation) but has tons of valuable things.

On the day we left here, Chloe turned 12 years old!! We did the celebration with cake the night before with families and relatives, and she spend her actual birthday on the road all day:)
To be continued...
Happy Birthday peanut! 12 years old, wow, when do you start driving? Amazing trip, way better than my 12 birthday, my parents got divorced. :\
ReplyDeleteAgain, very nice pictures, I can't wait to start taking some around California.
